[Certification Body](https://global-standards.org/resources/glossary/certification-body "
A Certification Body, having been duly accredited by an Accreditation Body and by way of signing a contract with Global Standard gGmbH has been permitted to implement the Global Organic Textile Standard over a designated geographical area and for specific scopes of the Standard.
") found clear evidence of using fake shipping companies to show transportation of goods and defrauding the [GOTS](https://global-standards.org/resources/glossary/gots "
The worldwide leading voluntary sustainability standard for the post-harvest textile value chain for certified organic fibres, covering environmental criteria, human rights, social criteria and business conduct.
") system. Investigations revealed that the shipping company did not exist, and no material movement actually took place. Based on the facts despite the company not being currently certified, the Certification Body recommended a ban on this company.

Second, based on a complaint received and investigations that followed, the company was found to have submitted forged NOP TCs for raw cotton with a QR code that led to a spoofed website that falsely confirmed the genuineness of these TCs.

The Global [Standard](https://global-standards.org/resources/glossary/standard "
standard glossary text
") management studied the matter and imposed a certification ban of a minimum period of 2 years.
