A peer-reviewed publication of the long term trial on system comparisons of the cotton rotation in India published in the online journal Plos One can be viewed [online](http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0081039) and is available for [download](https://global-standards.org/images/news/archiv/stories/journal.pone.0081039.pdf). The results of this study show that organic soybean productivity can be similarly high as in conventional systems at lower input levels, which can make organic soybean production - as part of cotton-based crop rotations - more profitable.

GOTS also focussed on many proven benefits of organic cotton in the joint GOTS and Soil Association campaign ["Have you Cottoned On Yet"](http://www.cottonedon.org/).
