Global Standards has recently released the latest update to GOTS, Version 8.1, following the release of Version 8.0 in March.
This update provides additional clarity on the promotion of GOTS Goods, noting: “Only those products produced by a Certified Entity and certified by an Approved Certifier can be labelled, represented, advertised or sold as GOTS Goods.”
In addition, we have incorporated additional feedback from Certified Bodies and other stakeholders since the finalised version of GOTS 8.0 went live in March. Some spelling and formatting errors have been corrected as well. Please see the updated Standard documents below:
